Hauora
For the past weeks we have been learning about what Hauora is and how it can relate to an athlete. I learnt that if one wall falls apart the whole house will fall apart which relates to an athlete. I also learnt that the 4 walls ( Whare tapa wha ) names are Taha Wairua, Taha Whanau, Taha Hinegnaro, Taha Tinana. Each of the walls stand for something which are Mental and emotional wellbeing, Physical well being, Social Wellbeing, and spiritual wellbeing. In this challenge we also did our pulse rate to see how many pulse rates we have in one minute.

Water Safety
So we have been learning about safety around water. As Auckland children we need to make sure that we are safe around water because we are well known for the amount of water around Auckland.and knowing what to do around water is really helpful because we never know when we could use all the help that you may need. We need to prevent people from drowning and hurting themselves with water. Most kiwi families spend their holidays at beaches and knowing their kids know what to do in the water would give them a piece of mind. Which means there is a risk of drowning, however if you are careful and get in the water with your kids this could prevent drowning from happening. Sometimes it is based on the child or children parents to see if they want to keep their child or children safety.
We have been learning about water safety. I have been writing a paragraph about water safety. We also did a grid about water safety too.

Inquiry
We have been doing inquiry on water safety. We needed to make sure that it was affective. We had to put true facts not fake. This was a simple version of what I would usually do. But it was not so different from my usual DLO (Digital Learning Object).

The Remembrance Of Private Ted
There’s a bottle of beer in the Waiho Forks bar,
From the rest on the shelf it stands out like a star.
For its shape is old fashioned and it just might be purple
And the label proclaims that its “Ballins Four X”
It was bought a long time ago by a young soldier brave;
On his final leave home, these are the instructions he gave.
“Don’t break it or sell it, just keep it in store,
And we’ll drink it when I come back home from the war.”
He was killed overseas on the Island of Crete
When they battled it out with the German elite.
There’s a headstone but nobody knows where he lies,
If he sleeps his last sleep ‘neath the sea or the skies
But the bottle still remains at the Country Hotel,
A memorial stands to a soldier who fell,
And travellers and locals take time out to think
Of the soldier who never came home for his drink.
And somehow a glow by the bottle is shed
As poppies surround it and edge it with red,
For each Anzac Day there’s a new one to put there
And they lie like a wreath round that bottle of beer.
There are many stone cairns scattered over the land
But I wonder how many are polished by hand.
Though the cap is all rusty and outshines the chrome,
As it waits for the soldier who never came home.
Anonymous
We have been remembering the soldiers that fought for us in the World War 1 and 2. The main idea of this particular peom is, Not All Soldiers Return From The War.

Informed Decision
L.I:To Make an informed choice based on information.
We were all taking part and putting in reason why we could change the flag Or Why we shouldn't change the flag. One of the reason to change the flag was that this is a new generation but one of the good reasons for the flag not being changed is that there is a piece of history meaning. We had to listen and show respect to the speaker. We also had to research some reason why to change the flag. We had to really respect each others opinions we really did not want our class mates to get offended.
