Writing a Narrative - Juanita and Jessie

“Get off the road!” shouted the man in the taxi. James was on his morning jog on a busy road, not caring about what he was running into such as the cars. As he was running he turned his back and saw a man standing on the edge of the bridge wanting to jump.

As James saw the man he ran as fast as he could  trying to save the poor old man’s life, but sadly he was just an inch away too late. The Scotland Yard ran to the scene wanting to know what happened. James sprinted, thinking he would get arrested. He hopped onto a motorcycle driving fast, over the limit anyway. “What will happen to me if they think it was my fault?” he said to himself. They chased after him wanting to know why he ran..

He went home thinking that no one would ever know it was him sadly the Scotland yard   knew. He had no choice but to skip town. He said his last good bye to his family and he said I love you and went on the run. Little did his family know, that James would never return.

He left the city and his family had no idea about it. All they knew was he was being “awkward” around them. They knew something was up so they followed him. Sadly they lost his tracks and they never saw him again.

These past 2 weeks for writing we have been learning how to write an narrative using TOPES-Title,Orientation,Problem,Explain,Solution,Mood words, HCSP-Hook,Character,Setting and Problem. Our Learning Intention is to write an narrative story,my partner Jessie and I were writing about a man being innocent but he was blamed for the event.
